Kay Kienzler

Kay loves storytelling in all its possible forms and formats, and admits that commercial directing is the best job in the world! From 2002 to 2006, he studied media production at the University of Applied Sciences in Darmstadt. A scholarship enabled him to spend a year at the Victoria University of Wellington / New Zealand. And promptly, he was a production assistant on the set of King Kong. In 2013, he successfully completed his studies in commercial film directing at the renowned Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. His short films (among others in co-production with ARTE and SWR), as well as commercials were shown at many festivals. Kay lives in Berlin. He works hard to refine his humour, whimsical visual style, and focus on interecharacters in his films.
