Zak Emerson

Zak Emerson studied Fine Art Painting at Central Saint Martins in London. He began his TV career as a storyboard artist and creative assistant under legendary ad man, Paul Arden. His first short film Suspended was picked up by the British Council for representation and won the prestigious Stella Artois Best Short Film award. He has since directed award-winning commercials. His Heineken Faking Of spot smashed the 'making of' genre and landed awards across the board, including Cannes Lion Silver and Eurobest Grand Prix. The First Day of Summer has been a finalist at the biggest adventure film festivals and won an Edmund Hillary award in the US. Zak's attention to detail, his ability to find the beauty in the everyday and his epic, cinematic, visual style makes him a wonderful storyteller.
